In2Learning centres work with students Y2 – Y13, supporting their learning in English, Maths and the Sciences. We aim to provide a positive learning environment in which students can achieve their academic goals, which in turn will have a positive impact on confidence, attitude and self esteem as well as results in the classroom.
Each child is given a free assessment prior to starting so we can target their individual learning needs, catch up or extension. Following this each student attends the centre once or twice a week for 80 minutes, and follows their own individual programme designed to help them achieve their goals. The teaching ratio is 1:4 so we can provide a relaxed, friendly and motivating learning environment where children feel comfortable and happy and can learn at their own rate. Progress is carefully monitored and students are regularly reassessed.
Our computer programmes provide the drill and repetition that is essential for building long term memory and fluency. The children find the programmes easy to use and enjoyable and are happy to revise topics to keep the skills fresh in their heads. New concepts are taught using paper activities so that teacher interaction can occur and the learning steps can be discussed and corrected if needed.
All the staff at In2Learning are highly qualified and experienced in their subject areas, enabling us to be confident that we are providing a high level of supplementary education to the students of Wanaka.
